- Do not jump in half-heartedly into improving your brand as it is a waste of time and effort.
- Get your team together and talk. You may find that this is an obvious answer but it is obvious for a reason. The people who know your business best ought to be the team that’s working for it. They have the knowledge and the drive.
- What is your objective? Brand development? Promoting your business? Brand reposition? Whichever objectives that you want to achieve you need to put time and energy into achieving it.
- Back to School Basics – create a mind map. Yes, this may be a simple trick to get your creative juices flowing but it is a great opportunity to explore each area of your business that has its own unique quality to it.
- Brainstorm your ideas; how can your idea develop and affect your business?
- Make sure that there is time set aside to focus on being creative.
- Create deadlines that are long-term, mid-term and short-term in achievability, and make sure that everyone is on-board with the idea.
- Position your brand – do you want to be perceived as cutting edge, ethical – can you be both? Your customers and consumers will only find value in your company if you give them added value.
- Learn how to write your press release so that it captures and engages your audience and grabs the journalist.
